"It was everything to us," Robyn said.

"It was our very beginning and we had nothing before the Trust helped us.

"It allowed us to set up an office properly and start a database. It has also helped me enormously to give presentations to other community groups and organisations. The laptop and a projector have been invaluable for that."

But it was being able to buy a massage table that made it possible for Blue Mountains Cancer Help to fulfill its mission to promote the physical and emotional well-being of cancer patients.

The table can be raised and lowered to allow physically frail people to have a massage without being in any discomfort.

"And, it has occupational health and safety benefits for the therapist," Robyn said.

"So this is the icing on the cake."
