Rod’s Runabout

GREAT Community Transport is funded by the Federal and State governments to transport the frail, aged, people with disabilities and their carers to medical appointments, shopping and on special outings. Blue Mountains Health Trust got in contact with GREAT Community Transport to discuss the best way of providing assistance and a car was generously donated. The car, driven by volunteer drivers, travels up and down the mountains taking people to their cancer treatments, their dialysis and out of area medical appointments.

The cars are named in remembrance of previous volunteers who have since passed away and the car donated by Blue Mountains Health Trust has been named Rod’s Runabout.
